Richard Avedon

 In this assignment we were trying to mirror the work of Richard Avedon. His style of capturing the face at a moment that expresses what they are feeling on the inside. With this came the struggles of directing who you are photographing. You have to be patient and wait for a moment when they are showing something, something more than their face... their feelings.

Shadows and treasures

For this assignment we went out and looked for shadows and any interesting treasures that we could find.

 

 

Depth

In this assignment we had to capture depth. To do so we used different techniques to exemplify depth. We used the foreground/background technique by taking a picture of something close up so that it would bring out the space behind it. We used repetition to lead our eye. Leading lines to also lead our eye into the background. And combo shots which used more than one of any of these techniques.

City's shapes

In this assignment we walked and looked for different shapes within objects. These shaped consisted of squares, rectangles, triangles, and combo shots of all of them.
